Responsibilities Our therapists provide psychotherapeutic interventions to children and their families, including: Assessing treatment needs Developing and reviewing treatment plans Determining discharge criteria in an outpatient setting Completing and maintaining required intake forms, documentation, and discharge planning by specified dates Maintaining outcome measures for the effectiveness of treatment Tykes & Teens is a CE-Broker supported organization and offers over 12 hours of continued education per year, weekly staffing to support your clinical growth, and free clinical supervision toward licensure. Program Logistics Mental Health Services for ages birth to 5 Primary caregivers are essential in shaping young children's mental health Serving Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties Services are typically rendered in natural settings (home, school) Therapeutic space is HIPAA compliant Staff are trained in Child‑Parent Psychotherapy, an evidence‑based model that supports young children and their primary caregiver in processing and healing from traumatic experiences, including but not limited to: Domestic violence Separation from a parent Witnessing substance use of a parent Death of a parent Long‑Term Goals of the Program Increase social‑emotional development Increase positive attachment patterns between parent and child Increase parents' sense of effectiveness as a parent Support healing from trauma and other adverse experiences Reduce challenging behaviors in all settings Reduce dependency involvement or re‑involvement Use evidence‑based therapeutic practices to ensure highest quality of care Experience You Will Bring Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another applicable human services degree Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance is required Ability to work in a team environment Licensed or registered intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491 with two years of experience in working with children and families Licensed Positions Require An active and clear State of Florida License – LCSW, LMHC, LMFT Benefits 401(k) Dental Insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Job Types Full-time, Part-time, Contract Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Tykes & Teens is an equal employment opportunity employer.
