Position Overview The Respiratory Therapist (RT) educates clients on proper use of CPAP/BiPAP and supplies. The RT is responsible for properly fitting clients with mask(s) and programming the devices per the prescription, following up to maintain equipment compliance, and assists in the promotion of Medic Sleep Care's services and products. This safety‑sensitive position reports directly to the General Territory Manager. Responsibilities and Duties Coordinate delivery of and instruct clients on the use of home medical equipment, primarily respiratory equipment, evaluating medical requirements and placing appropriate equipment. Discuss Medicare and insurance requirements and coverage with clients, families, physicians and other parties concerned. Implement any changes in treatment prescribed by a physician, ensuring safety. Problem‑solve and troubleshoot issues experienced by clients and caregivers. Initiate, schedule, and complete follow‑up phone calls and assessments for CPAP, BiPAP and other respiratory equipment, assessing tolerance, compliance and satisfaction, and documenting findings. Act as a liaison between Medic Sleep Care, caregivers, physicians and referral staff, completing reports when required. Promote Medic Sleep Care’s products and services and actively pursue new opportunities for referral and revenue growth. Perform duties associated with a branch, maintaining adequate inventory levels of equipment and supplies in the warehouse and initiating orders. Assist in developing policies and procedures related to respiratory equipment. Attend mandatory in‑services and sleep conferences as requested. Respond occasionally to after‑hours emergencies and deliveries of equipment and supplies. Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by management. Education and Experience High school diploma required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT, RRT) required; must be licensed in Arkansas. Prior experience in a home care setting preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personality Above average organizational skills. Proficient verbal communication skills essential for frequent interaction with clients, families, physicians, nurses, team members and the public. Clerical skills necessary for daily operations. High quality work adhering to business, professional and social ethics. Responsibility for safety of patients, visitors and employees, responding appropriately to emergencies. Open communication through clear expression and receptive listening. Respectful and compassionate image in verbal and non‑verbal interactions. Maintain confidentiality of PHI and HIPAA compliance. Physical Qualifications Frequent prolonged standing and walking. Lifting supplies and equipment. Manual dexterity and mobility. Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
