• Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Start Date: July 27, 2026
• End Date: January 25, 2027

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (required)
• Active California Physician Assistant license (PA-C preferred)
• California DEA with Schedule II authorization
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in neurosurgery, complex surgical floors, or neuro ICU experience
• Experience with EMR systems; Epic preferred
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery patients, including pre-op and post-op care, wound checks, and case management
• Provide high-acuity care for patients with brain tumors, neuro-ICU needs, meningioma cases, and inter-facility transfers
• Order, interpret, and follow up on imaging and diagnostic studies (CT, MRI, angiography)
• Perform and assist with specialty procedures such as drain care and pulling drains (training available for EVD drains)
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, nurses, therapists, and care coordinators to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR and support quality improvement initiatives
