Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Screening – Full‑time Day – Jersey City Medical Center – Pay Range $47.85 - $67.04 per hour. Job Overview Since 1882, Jersey City Medical Center has provided advanced medical treatment across various disciplines, earning multiple national recognitions. This RN position supports emergency‑screening services on the day shift at the Jersey City Medical Center. Essential Functions The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice, maintains evidence‑based practice, and advances knowledge through communication with resource persons and programs. Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Has knowledge of the patient population served. Supervises and directs task delegation to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient‑care providers. Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes. Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualizes the plan of care for each patient. Qualifications Required: ADN Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient computer skills Preferred: BSN 1 year of experience as a Behavioral Health RN Certifications and Licenses Required Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement BLS from the American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Day Shift, 35.3 hours 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation Full Time Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
