Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team at a busy Skilled Nursing Facility. The RT will be responsible for providing respiratory care services to residents, ensuring optimal pulmonary function and comfort.
*Pay rate determined based on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and care for residents with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management (if applicable)
- Monitor residents’ respiratory status and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure respiratory equipment is clean, functioning, and compliant with regulations
- Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of California
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable)
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or subacute setting preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
