Certified Medical Assistant

Schedule: 06:30 AM - 3 pm, (M-F), no weekends or holidays Key Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and health information. Prepare examination and treatment areas and ensure proper sanitation and infection control practices. Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice. Administer medications and treatments as permitted by state regulations and facility policies. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in electronic and/or paper health record systems. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate healthcare services as directed. Monitor and stock medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals. Assist with intake screenings, health assessments, and chronic care clinics. Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and assist healthcare staff during emergencies. Perform other duties as assigned to support facility healthcare operations. Qualifications Previous correctional, behavioral health, public health, or community health experience is strongly preferred Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
