Now Hiring: PRN LPN II - Medical-Surgical Unit Northwest Florida Community Hospital - Chipley, FL Northwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN II) to join our Medical‑Surgical Unit on a PRN (as needed) basis. This role is ideal for a flexible, team‑oriented nurse who thrives in a fast‑paced acute care environment. Position Summary The LPN II provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or provider. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple patient needs while delivering safe, high‑quality care. Schedule PRN (as needed) Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Medical‑Surgical Unit Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies within scope of practice Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; report changes promptly Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital policies Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care while maintaining dignity and respect Qualifications Current Florida LPN license (active and in good standing) Current BLS certification (required) IV certification (preferred or required per facility policy) Previous hospital or medical‑surgical experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Compensation Competitive PRN pay rate Additional pay for applicable shift differentials, on‑call, and certifications (eligible certifications may include PALS, ACLS, NIHSS, and STABLE with additional hourly pay) Work Environment Acute care hospital setting Fast‑paced Medical‑Surgical Unit Requires multitasking, prioritization, and adaptability Why Join NFCH?
