Chemical Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and schedule work orders using the ERP system.
• Create work orders, transfer materials, and decrement from the ERP system.
• Change and dispense materials for production as necessary.
• Participate in customer and regulatory audits, including OSHA and EPA audits.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of products, processes, instruments, and training.
• Follow current processes for the manufacturing, storage, and transportation of chemicals.
• Handle regulated waste and adhere to hazardous material disposal and spill response protocols.
• Gather, interpret, and analyze scale readouts and scripts.
• Troubleshoot quality and delivery issues as they arise.
• Create materials according to internal specifications and deliver them throughout the facility.
• Participate in receiving and transferring materials from tanker trucks into bulk tanks.
• Participate in the Hazardous Material Spill Response Team.

Essential Skills

• Basic knowledge of chemistry.
• Good math skills.
• Experience in laboratory and chemical handling.
• Knowledge of GMP and manufacturing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coralville, IA.

The pay range for this position is $24.89 - $28.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Coralville,IA.
