Why join us Competitive Rate Benefits Vacation Etc. Job Details We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be a part of a team responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our manufacturing equipment and systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, is able to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, and has a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, components, and wiring, and replace worn, damaged, or defective parts. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled manufacturing equipment. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams. Perform hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs, adjustments, and part replacement. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience with troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in PLC troubleshooting and machine repair. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair equipment. Must be highly motivated, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be available for on-call emergencies.
