Payroll Supervisor - AZ, GA - On Site

Payroll Operations Director Provides day-to-day operational leadership within designated Payroll POD to ensure client payrolls are processed accurately and on time. Essential duties and responsibilities include ensuring that payroll is processed timely and accurately, acting as the primary contact for assigned POD clients, reviewing processed payrolls and resolving payroll errors and issues, assisting the team where needed, monitoring the work of a team of Payroll Associates that input payroll data and prepare payroll checks, responsible for clear and consistent client communications, working with the Quality Control Team to process current year and prior year voids and resolve posted payroll errors, addressing payroll related queries and requests, analyzing payroll problems and providing appropriate resolutions, facilitating frequent communication with VMC Payroll Supervisors to review Payroll Associates’ performance, recommend areas of training, and assist with coaching employees, scheduling and facilitating weekly POD team huddles. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include reviewing and recommending improvements to existing Payroll department procedures, working closely with Payroll Manager to implement changes, provide feedback on team performance, and escalate client issues, assisting in payroll calculations and deductions, self-motivated, professional capable of working with minimal supervision, ability to reflect and be accountable, capable of working under pressure and meeting concrete deadlines, must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize and quickly switch between projects and priorities, ability to communicate and work effectively with internal departments, excellent communication skills, ability to adapt messages for audience, proficient to strong skills in MS Office, including Excel and Outlook, proven ability to make proper judgment calls when presented by a situation/problem. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of payroll experience, PEO, ASO, multi-state payroll experience, knowledge of Prism HR (recommended but not required). Physical, Mental, & Communication Demands: Frequently required to sit; occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to talk and hear. Moderate concentration/intensity, which includes prolonged mental effort. Average memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Environmental Conditions Indoor, office environment.
