Are you ready to contribute to cutting-edge research at the renowned Framingham Heart Study, located in the historic town of Framingham, MA? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and support the operation of our Biorepository. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, community-based research setting supported by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and administered by Boston University.

Job Responsibilities

Organize participant biospecimens under the direction of the Biorepository Coordinator.
Track biospecimens through collection, processing, aliquoting, storage, and distribution stages.
Maintain accurate records associated with the biorepository inventory.
Scan barcoded samples into tracking databases.
Assist in biospecimen distributions.
Clean and maintain laboratory freezers.
Print labels for biospecimen processing.

Requirements

Comfortable handling biospecimens including blood, blood products, urine, and other bodily fluids.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Access.
Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting.
Must be on-site.

Preferences

Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
Familiarity with biorepository operations is a plus.
