Job Summary As our Surgery Scheduler, you will be a critical orchestrator of complex operational logistics, ensuring seamless alignment of resources, personnel, and services. Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, seeks a full‑time Scheduler for the Franciscan Cardiology Associates Clinic in Silverdale, WA. Day shift, no weekend or holidays. You will manage scheduling and resource allocation, input and maintain data, generate schedules, and oversee template maintenance. Responsibilities Schedule appointments and ancillary services – surgical procedures. Schedule patient surgical procedures based on authorized referral, verify physician privilege status, gather insurance eligibility data, and enter data into the electronic medical record. Coordinate pre‑surgery clearance requirements. Identify patients needing confirmation or rescheduling, contact them, and document reasons for no‑show. Arrange special or ancillary patient requirements such as transportation, interpreters, and other care needs. May interact with referring clinic to ensure coordination of care. Assist in scheduling specialty care visits, working with scheduling personnel at specialty or hospital departments, gather insurance eligibility information, and obtain pre‑authorization for surgery. Requirements Minimum two years of work experience in a medical office or healthcare environment, with knowledge of medical terminology, insurance companies, codes, and policies and procedures.
