Zachary, Louisiana : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Pipe Drafter to create accurate spool drawings, fabrication details, and piece marks to support pipe fabrication operations. This position works closely with Project Management and Production teams to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and meet project requirements.

Essential Duties:

• Create accurate spool drawings, fabrication details, and piece marks from customer isometric and orthographic drawings.

• Interpret piping and fabrication drawings and provide drafting support to Project Management and fabrication personnel.

• Utilize AutoCAD and Pipe 3D to develop and modify piping and fabrication drawings.

• Use Acorn software for spool drawings and detailing; Acorn experience is a plus but is teachable for the right candidate.

• Complete drafting assignments accurately and within established deadlines.

• Communicate workload status and project progress with the Drafting Supervisor.

• Apply problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and resolve drawing and fabrication issues.

• Maintain drawing accuracy and quality standards throughout the drafting process.

• Collaborate with Project Management and Production to ensure drawings accurately support fabrication requirements.

• Comply with all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.

• Work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines and business demands.

Requirements/Skills:

• Fabrication or structural piping experience is required.

• Demonstrated experience with pipe fabrication, structural piping, or a related industrial fabrication environment.

• Strong ability to read and interpret piping isometric and orthographic drawings.

• AutoCAD experience is required.

• Pipe 3D experience is required.

• Experience with Acorn software is preferred but willingness to learn Acorn is acceptable.

• Knowledge of pipe fabrication processes and drafting standards.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.

• Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and strong work ethic.

• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a manufacturing and pipe fabrication environment.

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while performing drafting and detailing duties.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the fabrication facility as needed.

• Ability to visually review detailed drawings, computer screens, dimensions, and specifications for extended periods.

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management, and production personnel.

• Must be able to comply with required safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Friday: 4-hour shift

• Overtime is expected based on project and business needs.
