Overview:

Job Summary

Ōnin Staffing is seeking an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator for a manufacturing facility in Denver. This position is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading and tracking finished goods and raw materials in both indoor and outdoor warehouse environments.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of recent forklift and warehouse experience, understands shipping and receiving processes, and is comfortable working outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.

Skills and Experience:

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift and other assigned material-handling equipment.
• Load and unload materials from flatbed trailers, 53-foot vans and railcars.
• Work from a loading dock and outdoor yard in changing weather conditions.
• Read pick documents and bills of lading to select, load and unload the correct products.
• Receive incoming finished goods and raw materials and verify quantities for accuracy.
• Maintain warehouse stock locations and product date codes.
• Rotate inventory according to FIFO procedures.
• Use a mobile order-picking system.
• Assist customers and transportation providers professionally.
• Safely lift, carry and stack bundles of roofing shingles weighing up to 90 pounds.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Complete additional warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of warehouse or supply-chain experience
• At least two years of forklift-operating experience
• Working knowledge of warehouse, shipping, receiving and transportation processes
• Experience reading pick documents and bills of lading
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor during high-stress situations
• Excellent attendance and dependability
• Willingness to work in different areas as business needs require
• Flexibility with lunch and break times based on workflow
• Availability to work overtime when needed

• Make recommendations that improve safety, quality, efficiency and customer service.

Employment Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete:

• Pre-employment drug screening
