Financial Analyst

Financial AnalystEnergo is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Financial Analyst, reporting to the Controller. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial health of Energo's multiple business divisions. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, with a particular focus on supporting our fuel oil supply and HVAC service lines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working across multiple entities and cost centers, and has hands-on QuickBooks experience.Responsibilities:Compile monthly KPI's and variance analyses across Energo's divisionsSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, including division-level cost and revenue trackingAnalyze supply pricing, margins, and costs to support pricing and purchasing decisionsTrack profitability, labor costs, and job costing across projects and divisionsSupport accounts payable/accounts receivable functions and vendor/customer account reconciliations as neededPrepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for leadership to support business decisionsAssist with the preparation of materials for tax filings, audits, and lender/insurance reporting requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency across divisionsWhat Energo Offers:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceOpportunity to grow within a well-established, expanding, family-owned companyExposure across multiple business lines, including HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, fuel oil, energy services, and solarCollaborative, hands-on work environmentPosition Requirements - Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial analyst, accounting, or related finance role (required)Proficiency in QuickBooks requiredBachelor's degree in finance or accountingStrong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modelingExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across several business divisionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a small, fast-paced finance teamPreferred Skills:Familiarity with job costing and project-based accounting (common in HVAC/mechanical services)Experience in the fuel oil supply and/or HVAC services industriesUnderstanding of fuel oil pricing, hedging, or commodity cost trackingExperience supporting multi-entity or multi-division organizationsExposure to construction, energy services, or building services industriesFull-Time/Part-Time - Full-TimeBenefits - Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, 401k with Matching, Health Reimbursement Account, Life InsurancePay - $75,000 - $85,000 yearlyExempt/Non-Exempt - ExemptLocation - WoodsideAbout the Organization - Energo is a rapidly growing energy supplier that provides a broad range of energy products and services to customers in NY and surrounding areas.
