Electrical Project Engineer - Substation QA/QC

Location Overland Park, KS; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; College Station, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Austin, TX Position Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer – Substation Quality Management Group (QMG) Key Responsibilities Develop and provide guidance on design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and B&V policies. Apply B&V quality program requirements to assigned tasks and ensure overall compliance. Prepare engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects, including design packages for substations, renewables integration, HVDC/FACTS/STATCOM, datacenter integration, and BESS integration. Perform research, equipment/material selection recommendations, engineering calculations, and budget, schedule, and quality management. Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects. Identify key client interests and drivers on high-voltage substation projects and incorporate them into project deliverables. Provide consultation, technical guidance, mentoring, and advanced engineering solutions to project teams. Assist with performance management, mentoring, and resources for small groups. Support administrative responsibilities such as policy implementation, adherence to programs, and approving timesheets and expense reports. Preferred Qualifications Experience with substation QA/QC reviews. Substation design experience – physical and/or protection & controls. Coordinating and communicating with clients, multidisciplinary leads, and project managers. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office products. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program. Minimum 5 years of related work experience. Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search.
