Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, inclusive of abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, explaining processes with empathy and clarity
• Collaborate actively with radiologists and referring physicians to guarantee high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, addressing any technical issues promptly
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records in alignment with electronic medical systems
• Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound imaging practices and methodologies

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
