At Home Helpers Home Care, we provide high-quality, dependable care that allows older adults to remain safe, independent, and engaged wherever they call home. We care for individuals throughout Kankakee, Iroquois, and Southern Will Counties. We are building a team of professionals who take ownership, communicate clearly, and show up for our clients each and every day.

About the Role

We are seeking a kind, dependable caregiver to support our clients who have a range of needs. This role focuses on companionship, engaging activities, and personal care support for those in need. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and helping someone stay active and engaged.

Schedule

Flexible 40 hours a week, between the hours 7a-7p and 7p-7a

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and friendly conversation
• Play games, participate in activities, and encourage engagement
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
• Assist with transfers such as on and off the toilet
• Help with laundry and light household tasks related to the client
• Support a safe and positive daily routine

Ideal Caregiver

• Patient, friendly, and dependable
• Comfortable assisting with personal care
• Enjoys conversation, games, and activities
• Experience with caregiving, or home care preferred

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Driver's License, car insurance
• Some form of previous caregiving or personal care experience required
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to provide respectful personal care assistance
