Process Engineer

Arkema’s Beaumont Plant is seeking a Process Engineer to provide advanced technical support, drive continuous improvement, and optimize performance across multiple chemical production units within the Thiochemicals business. In this high-impact, on-site role , you’ll partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Engineering to improve safety, reliability, and throughput while serving as a key technical leader. What You’ll Do Act as the process engineering expert for units including Methyl Mercaptan, DMS, H₂S, Acrolein, and more Analyze production data and troubleshoot process issues to improve efficiency and reliability Lead and support process improvements, debottlenecking, and energy optimization efforts Provide technical support during turnarounds, upsets, and critical events Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving Support and lead process safety initiatives (PHA, incident investigations, PSM compliance) Mentor junior engineers and contribute to site-wide technical leadership What You Bring B.S. in Chemical Engineering 3+ years in chemical manufacturing Strong expertise in process troubleshooting & unit operations Experience leading technical issues from problem identification to solution implementation Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Why Arkema?
