Volunteer Coordinator

Working alongside our Volunteer Committee and Board of Directors, the Volunteer Coordinator recruits, organizes, trains, and supports both adult and student volunteers. Your leadership will help ensure every volunteer feels prepared, valued, and inspired to make a meaningful impact.

Our volunteers are the heart of our organization. Together, we provide year-round outdoor adventures for neurodiverse and differently abled teens throughout Maryland. Each weekend, we offer exciting experiences for teens ages 12–20, including kayaking, hiking, paddleboarding, sailing, fishing, visits to local attractions, and much more.

Programs typically take place on Saturday mornings and last 1–3 hours . We maintain a volunteer-to-participant ratio of approximately 1 volunteer for every 3 participants , allowing volunteers to build meaningful connections while providing individualized support.

Experience working with neurodiverse or differently abled youth is a plus, but it is not required . Likewise, experience with our outdoor activities is helpful but not necessary. We provide guidance and support to help volunteers succeed.
