Must Have:

• Hands on SAP ERP experience specifically in the classic ECC6 environment
• SAP Payroll configuration and customization experience, with the ability to apply SAP best practices and standard configuration rather than defaulting to custom builds
• Comfortable supporting an internal payroll team rather than owning payroll processing directly

Nice to have:

• SuccessFactors
• Public Sector experience
• Multi union or collective bargaining payroll config experience
  • IEUA is on MOU has 7 different unions on payroll

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain SAP ECC6 payroll wage types, ensuring each is mapped correctly to processing classes, cumulation classes, and evaluation classes
• Build and adjust payroll schemas and personnel calculation rules (PCRs) to reflect union specific pay rules, differentials, and bargaining agreement terms
• Configure payroll areas, pay scale structures, and default features
• Apply SAP standard/best practice configuration in line with the client's stated preference for standard SAP
• Support integration points between SAP Payroll and SAP Finance (FI), since payroll postings typically flow into the general ledger
• Partner with the client's internal payroll team, who will continue to own actual payroll processing and pay runs; this role supports and configures, it does not execute payroll
• Participate in business process testing for payroll changes, including parallel testing where configuration changes are validated against expected pay results
• Document configuration decisions and wage type/schema logic to create a clean baseline for the future ECP migration
• Assess current wage types, schemas, PCRs, and interfaces as part of readiness for ECP, similar to the gap analysis work seen in comparable ECP readiness engagements
