Job Details Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Employment Type: Travel assignment Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg / rehabilitation-focused acute care Location: Temple, TX 76504 Contract Length: 13 weeks Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour night shifts Schedule: 3 shifts per week Start Date: ASAP Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 - $1,730 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 2 years of bedside nursing experience Current BLS certification required prior to first shift Current ACLS certification required prior to first shift Strong Med/Surg, acute care, or hospital nursing experience preferred Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment Excellent communication, teamwork, assessment, and documentation skills Responsibilities Complete thorough nursing assessments within the first 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team Provide timely updates for team conferences and patient re-evaluations Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care Support patient and family education with a focus on recovery goals and discharge readiness Initiate discharge planning beginning on the day of admission Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in the medical record Communicate changes in patient condition clearly to physicians, charge nurses, and care team members Supervise and guide LPNs, CNAs, and other ancillary staff as appropriate Promote a safe environment by following nursing policies, safety standards, and infection prevention practices Contribute to a positive team culture and support efficient unit operations Apply now to join this Temple, TX travel nursing assignment and advance your Med/Surg career with a supportive healthcare team.
