Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Med/Tele)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days or Nights (12-hour shifts, 7a–7p / 7p–7a) | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed telemetry/cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, pneumonia, sepsis, ETOH, influenza, and acute-on-chronic conditions
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms
• Manage and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including BiPAP, trachs, and high-flow devices (Airvo)
• Float as needed to PCU (full patient load), Medical-Surgical units, and ER holds/boarding as a helping hand
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (day/night), with PCU overflow care at 1:3

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure applicable to the state of North Dakota
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Demonstrated PCU-level experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac/telemetry strips
• Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing
• Familiarity with EP studies, cardiac catheterization patients, and pacemaker management
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
