Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for individuals in pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using established assessments and observational strategies.
  • Formulate tailored treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver personalized one-on-one therapy focusing on communication, fluency, language, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as physical and occupational therapists, to develop cohesive care plans.
  • Provide essential education to patients and their families to extend progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Be available for occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care.
  • Maintain precise and prompt documentation that adheres to state and federal policies.
  • Continually upgrade your skills and knowledge through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for patients of all ages, with a keen understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to suit various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
