Typical projects will entail municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure, dams, site planning, and stormwater management. You will work in a team environment on a broad range of engineering projects from planning through implementation.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with clients to assess their needs and establish realistic project goalsWork with and/or support a team of professional employees performing calculations and developing site plansManage projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgetsDevelop proposals outlining service feesResearch economic alternatives for project componentsPresent applications and provide testimony to land use boards and commissionsPrepare construction cost estimates and reports for various civil projectsLiaise with professionals, attorneys, developers, contractors, and public agenciesSupport firm principals in business development effortsWhat you will need to succeed:BS in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.Experience in site design for residential, commercial and industrial projects including:Zoning and planning requirementsSite grading and erosion control designRoadway and street designStormwater, drainage and hydraulic calculations and designSeptic and utility systemsConstruction document preparationExperience with retaining wall design a plusProficiency in MS Office especially Word and Excel.Multi-discipline project management skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2023 or higher) is required.Sound mathematical skills are required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required.Occasional local travel for site visits and client meetings.A criminal background check and driving record check will be conducted.Haley Ward is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
