Vista Universal, Inc., a lighting and electrical services contractor proudly serving California since 1972, is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Lead to join our Hayward team. This position supports customers throughout the Greater Bay Area and requires a dependable, skilled Electrician who can lead our field service team of lighting and electrical technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on customer sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and electrical codes.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex lighting and electrical service calls and installs
- Conduct site visits and provide quotes
- Provide ongoing training to new hires and current technicians
- Run electrical and lighting service calls
- Work at heights up to 100 ft.
- Locate and repair underground electrical faults.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous electrical and lighting service experience is required.
- General Electrician License – required
- Clean driving record with current DMV printout (last 3 years) — mandatory
- Flexible availability — day, night, weekend, and on‐call work as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Reporting to Shop in Hayward daily
- Ability to perform occasional out‐of‐town and overnight work (required)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Team‐leader mindset
- Must have personal hand tools and electric power tools
- Experience servicing high mast lighting and underground wire and conduit tracing
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
