Exciting Opportunity for a Med-Surg Nurse - 12-Hour Day Shifts!

Job Description:


- Unit: Med Surg
- Total Beds: 30
- Shift Details:
- 12-hour days
- First to float
- Every other weekend (EOW)
- Unit Notes:
- Holiday RTO requests will be considered, though not guaranteed
- Must have previous travel experience
- Certifications Required:
- BLS Certification
- COVID Vaccine Certification
- Patient Ratios:
- 1 to 5 EMR with Cerner
- Charge Nurse:
- Clinical supervisor will manage break relief and does not take patient assignments
- Nurse Aides:
- 2 on days and 1 on nights
- Weekend Requirement:
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
- Holidays:
- Work into permanent staff rotation
- Scrub Color:
- Navy
- Telehealth:
- Portable tele box available if needed; monitor tech provided
- Nurses must interpret and read telemetry; dysrhythmia exam required
- Vents:
- No
- Hospitalist Coverage:
- 24/7 hospitalist availability
- IV Team:
- Yes
- Pharmacy:
- Open 24/7
- Shifts:
- 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- Floating Requirements:
- May float to tele with a 1:4 ratio
- Potential to float between Med-Surg floors

- Medical patients and post-operative/surgical cases
- Additional Notes:
- 2-3 years of experience in specialty required
- Prior travel experience necessary

- Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments; 3 shifts for shorter assignments
