Salary: $16.75- $17.45

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money Captain Choice Lead Clerk must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining seafood product, as well as demonstrate competency in, inventory control, ordering and receiving product. Strong organizational skills, as well as prioritizing multiple tasks are required. The lead clerk is responsible in setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer requests for seafood products and answering customer questions
• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations involving seafood as well as company policies regarding operations, safety, and sanitation
• Assist in achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Captain Choice Department
• Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, prep area, freezer, lobster tanks and cases and are in working condition
• Training and development of Captain Choice associates
• Follow direction from the Meat Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 16 years of age. If department is located inside the meat room the associate must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills

• Steamer- Must be 18 yrs. of age
• Microwave
• Manual Wrapping Machine
• Computerized Scales
• Baler/Compactor -Must be at least 18 yrs. of age
• Knives -Must be at least 16 yrs of age
• Pallet Jack- Must be at least 18 if the pallet jack is electric
