Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across all age groups, utilizing established assessments and observational methods.
Design tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing challenges.
Provide targeted speech therapy interventions centering on communication effectiveness, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to create seamless care strategies.
Deliver educational resources for patients and families to support their journey towards progress outside of the clinical environment.
Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions to ensure comprehensive care across the continuum.
Keep meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
Stay informed on contemporary practices through ongoing education and peer discussions.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been obtained.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of onboarding.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment across age demographics, with an in-depth comprehension of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, both developmental and acquired.
Exceptional communication abilities when engaging with patients, their families, and multi-disciplinary healthcare teams.
Flexibility in adapting therapy methodologies to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment coupled with adept problem-solving skills.
Comfortable utilizing electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.
