Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Birmingham AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location where you will conduct routine patrols remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a professional presence through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post for a team member who values being agile reliable and innovative while putting people first working through teamwork and acting with integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out armed security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including situations that may require an armed presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings grounds access points and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity verify credentials and/or authorizations and document visitor contractor and vehicle access in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare clear reports on incidents patrol activities and/or observed maintenance or operational concerns and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
