We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our friendly, caring and supportive team! **Must be C.N.A. certified or in the process of obtaining certification in IL** Job Description: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Alpine Care of Evanston by performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe. Essential functions will include the following to name a few; 1. Provides quality nursing care to Guests in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity and freedom of choice. 2. Provides individualized attention, which encourages each Guest’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. 3. Carry out assignments required for the Guest’s activities of daily living (ADL’s) which include but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. 4. Attends to individual needs of all Guests in regards to incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication and other needs. 5. Provides care that maintains each Guest’s skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears and other damage by changing incontinent Guests, turning, repositioning immobile Guests and by applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas. 6. Performs various tasks assigned by the floor nurse including checking vital signs, weighing Guests, applying creams/ointments and collecting specimens. 7. Must be knowledgeable of individual care plans and support the care planning process by providing supervisors with specific information and observations of the Guest’s needs, preferences and report any behavioral changes. Pay: $19:00 - $25.50 per hour. (This is an SEIU union position, the pay rates are non-negotiable as they are determined by the union agreement set forth by SEIU.) To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: Highschool diploma or equivalent Valid, unencumbered Nursing Assistant Certification (C.N.A.) in the state of practice.
