SITE MANAGER (BSVE)

Summary You will serve as a SITE MANAGER (BASE SUPPORT VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT) in the TRANSPORTATION DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Responsibilities You will direct, coordinate, and evaluate the work of subordinate employees to ensure conformance to established guidelines. You will use projected fluctuations in maintenance and operating workloads, budget and manpower requirements, and equipment conditions to develop long range plans. You will review and interpret new and established directives, instructions, and regulations to assess the potential impact on major program objectives, operating policies, funding requirements, and progress. You will conduct studies to determine transportation service requirements for installations Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying a comprehensive knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, directives, and procedures concerning procurement of equipment and the application of Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) to meet the needs of a PWD Transportation Department; 2) Conducting studies to determine transportation service requirements for an installation; 3) Planning work for subordinates including setting priorities and assigning work of employees, counseling employees on work and administrative matters; interviewing and selecting candidates for appointment, promotion and reassignment; 4) Utilizing automated systems to facilitate data processing (i.e. MAXIMO, NET, BSVEMIS, and FAST); and 5) Resolving business and operational problems encountered by subordinate staff to meet the needs of a PWD Transportation Department. Education Additional Information May be required to use protective clothing or gear; i.e., hard hats, coats, steel-toe boots, goggles, gloves or shields.
