About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic work experience. - Experience with telemetry required. - Traveler experience accepted; first-time travelers with specific experience will be considered. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO could possibly result in a cancellation. This is a fast-paced unit requiring nurses who can effectively manage pain for orthopedic and neuro-spine patients. Nurses must be very customer service oriented. Expect a patient ratio of 5-6:1, which can flex up to 7:1 in extreme cases. Weekend coverage is required; every other weekend is a must. If a nurse calls out on a weekend, they will be required to make up that time on a weekend. Float requirements include possible floating to other med-surg units within the facility based on staffing needs. Unit requires nurses who can stay on top of multiple pain management protocols. Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring is essential. Candidates must pass specific testing prior to starting in this specialty. All Covid patients are no longer cohorted; they will be cared for on all units as confirmed positive. This position can offer flexible scheduling options such as block scheduling. Scheduling will include self-assigning shifts.
