Carmax is seeking a Sales Consultant at their Frederick, Maryland location, offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.01 to $20.00, plus commission opportunities.

The role requires building relationships with customers to understand their needs and guide them in purchasing the right vehicle.

While prior auto sales experience is not necessary, candidates should have sales and customer service experience, preferably in retail.

Carmax provides paid training and mentorship to help new consultants succeed in a high-energy team environment.

The position is open to individuals with a high level of self-motivation and good listening skills, with no specific year of experience required.

Use your knowledge of Carmax inventory to assist customers in finding a vehicle that meets their needs.

Guide customers every step of the way, from sale or appraisal to test drives and arranging financing applications.

Complete all relevant records and documentation to ensure smooth transactions for our customers.

Carmax pays new Sales Consultants a competitive wage while training and through the first 640 hours of selling, after which commissions become the primary base of pay.
