Senior Pricing Actuary

Pricing ActuaryFortegra is seeking a talented pricing actuary to assist with a wide variety of projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise while broadening your skill set through diverse pricing and reserving tasks.This position is ideal for an actuary eager to make an impact and expand their professional horizons.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist senior actuaries in review of new program opportunities.Identify areas of strong profitability for growth and underperforming segments for contraction or exit.Collaborate with the CAT modeling and reinsurance team to assess and address segments driving PMLs.Clearly and concisely present findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders, including senior actuarial management, underwriting teams, compliance officers, external MGA partners, and regulators.Perform regular rate indications for all states and programs using standard actuarial methods.Recommend rate actions with a focus on profitability while considering market conditions and regulatory constraints.Research peer company filings and develop adequate and supportable rates where no data is available.Prepare rate filing analyses and exhibits, ensuring alignment with state-specific requirements and filing checklists.Address DOI objections strategically, promptly and effectively.Coordinate with compliance to ensure timely filing submissions.Support additional initiatives, such as reserve reviews for assigned segments, and data calls.The above cited duties and responsibilities describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to the job.
