Position Non-Registered EEG Technician As a Non-Registered EEG Technician, you will perform routine electroencephalographic examinations in a welcoming and encouraging workplace environment. Schedule Full‑time; 40 hours per week. Shifts fall between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday. While the schedule may often be Monday through Friday, candidates must be available to work weekends as needed based on business needs. Flexibility is essential for this role. Responsibilities Perform electroencephalographic examinations. Select predetermined electrode combinations (montages) to obtain recordings, recognize artifacts and take appropriate steps to eliminate them. Monitor on the same apparatus, other variables such as electromyograms, electrocardiograms, electro‑oculograms, respiration, etc. Observe patient with video recording equipment, ensure EEG and tape are lined up exactly, and check focus, lighting and microphone. Set‑up patient for continuous monitoring at the bedside with video, if indicated. Instruct nursing caregivers on pushing event button and care of videos. Abstract relevant information from the patients' clinical record and obtain additional information. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or a related patient care field OR two years of direct patient care experience. Completion of an EEG Technician Trainee Program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross. American Board of Registration for Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) Credentialing for a Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) within two years of hire. Physical Requirements Manual dexterity to place electrodes precisely and operate recording equipment. Ability to push and maneuver EEG machine weighing 320 pounds and Evoked Potential machine weighing 420 pounds. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Exposure to communicable disease or body fluids. Personal Protective Equipment Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $20.77 Maximum hourly: $31.68 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
