Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 19:00–07:00

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU serving patients from 28 weeks gestation and above, including conditions such as respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, and hyperbilirubinemia
• Float to approved satellite facilities as needed; mileage reimbursement from home location is provided when floating to locations other than the assigned home base
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation and patient management
• Maintain full weekend availability and be scheduled as needed with no specific set weekend requirement
• Work 2 out of 3 designated holidays (including holiday eves): Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Complete up to 10 hours of non-billable pre-start modules prior to orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending license accepted with confirmed ETA for posting)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of NICU Level III or higher experience
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Maximum of 6 days of requested time off (RTO) for the duration of the contract; a minimum of 3 shifts per week must still be worked

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Prior experience in a children's hospital or dedicated pediatric setting
• Familiarity with high-acuity neonatal diagnoses including respiratory distress and prematurity management
