Components may be standardized or customized as to design and function.Major ResponsibilitiesWelder IComply with the company/site safety rules.Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.Assist with robotic welder.Additional duties as assigned.Welder IIAll Welder I responsibilities.Intermediate MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding.Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues efficiently.Proficient in operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools.Welder IIIAll Welder I & II responsibilitiesUnderstanding of aluminum alloys, their properties, and how they react to different welding processes.Proficient in various aluminum welding processes, such as TIG (GTAW).Weld complex components with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.Operate robotic welder.Welder IVAll Welder I, II, & III responsibilities.Train all welders on processes and applications of advanced welding techniques.Proficient in inspecting welds for proper bonding and quality.Minimum Job RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma or Certification.Work ExperienceWelder IInternal written and physical weld test.An understanding of welding fundamentals.Basic welding experience and/or training.Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.Welder II1 year of experience in a production welding environment and successful completion of internal weld test.Working towards apprenticeship or certificationManufacturing experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes or related experience.Basic knowledge of Mig and Tig Welding Equipment.Crane Certification.Welder III2 years of experience in a production welding environment and successful completion of internal weld test.Experience in root cause problem-solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.)Welder IV3 Years of experience in advanced welding with successful completion of internal weld test.Advanced mechanical aptitude, ability to understand complex issues and systematically work toward resolution.Welding Certification/Technical Diploma.Preferred Job RequirementsKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesMath knowledge and ability to count parts.Understand hook types and when to send to burn.Intermediate mechanical aptitude, ability to understand complex issues and systematically work toward resolution.General Computer Skills.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
