Pay: $50 to $55 per hour Shift Information: Rotating - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85087. Start Date: 05-04-2026 End Date: 08-03-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; includes weekend rotation (approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks); may be placed on standby for scheduled shifts; floats between ICU and Tele units; guaranteed 36 hours/week Hours per Week: 36 Requirements Deliver high-quality, evidence-based neuro-critical care to complex patients in a 32-bed Neuro ICU Perform thorough neuro assessments and monitor intracranial pressure (ICP) closely Manage ventilators and coordinate advanced respiratory support with RT 24/7 Provide safe care for patients with EVDs and maintain strict sterile-field technique for central line dressing changes Document patient care accurately in Cerner and communicate changes promptly to the team Participate in SIMs Lab and competency validations (Foley insertion, central line dressing changes) and maintain required certifications Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy and respiratory therapy to optimize patient outcomes Float to Tele units when needed and manage appropriate telemetry loads per unit expectations Qualifications Active RN license (eligible to submit and willing to wait if needed) BLS and ACLS certification required Level 1 trauma experience required EVD (external ventricular drain) experience required Minimum: 2 years ICU experience in a large hospital (450+ beds); will consider 3-6 months prior travel experience preferred for travelers Must pass required pre-employment/clinical exams (DYS exam prior to accepting; two attempts allowed) Travel team members must have their own vehicle; additional site-specific requirements: natural hair color, no facial piercings, and men must be clean shaven for fit testing #J-18808-Ljbffr TravelNurseSource
