Qualifications of a Horticulturalist at Driftwood: K nowledge of gardening with the ability to identify plant species and understand their care requirements. Experience in Landscaping and maintenance, including planting, pruning, soil preparation, and outdoor space upkeep. Ability to provide friendly, informed customer service and clear guidance on plant care and gardening best practices. Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift and move plants and materials, and stand or walk for extended periods. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliability in following safety and horticultural standards. Previous experience in a garden center, nursery, landscaping company, or horticultural setting is preferred. Relevant education or training in horticulture, environmental science, or a related field is beneficial but not required. Role Description The Horticulturist is a full-time, on-site role based at Driftwood Garden Center & Florist in Naples, FL. In this position, the team member will care for plants in the nursery and garden center, including planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and monitoring for pests and diseases. The Horticulturist will assist customers with plant selection, gardening advice, and product recommendations, while maintaining clean, safe, and visually appealing displays throughout the garden center.
