Preschool Transportation Driver (Part-Time)

Location: Count Your Blessings Preschool
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-9:00 AM and 2:00 PM-4:00 PM

Position Summary

Count Your Blessings Preschool is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation Driver to provide safe and dependable transportation for children participating in our before and after school care programs, Count Your Blessings NM Free PreK program. This position plays an important role in ensuring children arrive safely while creating a positive, supportive transportation experience for families and students.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely transport children according to established routes, schedules, and program requirements.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and promptly report maintenance concerns.
• Ensure children are safely loaded, unloaded, and accurately accounted for at all times.
• Maintain attendance records and transportation documentation as required.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, licensing regulations, and childcare transportation policies.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, staff members, and school personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle environment.
• Promote the safety, well-being, and supervision of children during all transportation activities.

Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently enter and exit the vehicle throughout the workday.
• Ability to assist children entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
