Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Weekend requirement includes 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period. Self-scheduling per unit needs. No call required.

Highlights:

• Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit specializing in premature infants (as young as 22 weeks gestation), surgical neonates, and hypoxic injury
• Patient ratios of 1:2-4 providing opportunities for comprehensive, individualized patient care
• Advanced technologies including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, ventilator management (Servo Vents, HFOV), ECMO, and specialized feeding systems
• Contract lengths from 13+ weeks through February 27, 2027
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid unit orientation
• Float opportunities to Pediatrics, PICU, and nursery settings caring for infants up to 12 months

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications
• North Carolina or Compact RN license (pending acceptable for submission)
• Experience with ventilators, central line care, UAC/UVC placement and management, and high-risk deliveries
• Proficiency with tracheostomy care, therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
