Lead Pharmacy Operations

Lead pharmacy operations in a retail setting, dispense pharmaceuticals to patients, manage a team of pharmacy technicians, and handle daily responsibilities with high accountability. Work Hours: Monday-Friday - normally between 8:00AM-5:00PM

Essential Functions:

• Review and execute provider prescriptions, verifying appropriateness and legality.
• Organize pharmacy layout for efficient product identification and access.
• Control medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring to prevent expiration or deterioration.
• Listen to customers, interpret needs, and provide information and advice.
• Prepare medications using correct dosages and materials for individual patients.
• Maintain patient profiles and medication dispensing histories.
• Stay current with HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse credentialing.
• Comply with all federal, state, local laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Ensure pharmacy and employees comply with applicable laws and facility policies.
• Direct daily work of pharmacy technicians, provide performance evaluation input, and report behavioral or performance issues to senior management.
• Manage pharmacy technicians' schedules, including leave requests and medical accommodations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active Pharmacist license in Texas.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years retail pharmacy management experience.
• Previous leadership role preferred.
• Proficiency with patient management systems.
