This role also oversees administration, financial management, reporting, and optimization recommendations and execution. Additional responsibilities include developing POVs based on media valuation, managing and tracking budgets, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. In addition, this role is responsible for supporting business improvement by meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives timely and effectively. Areas of Focus: Disciplined Business Leadership Develops decisive, insightful strategies aligned with client objectives Demonstrates a thorough understanding of client business and how to achieve results Understands client objectives, resources, and pros/cons of approaches to address them Executes responsibilities with urgency and strong team integration Takes initiative to learn business planning from supervisors Media Innovation Applies industry changes in evolving approach for client business Proactively challenges status quo with media partners and clients Leverages consumer and media insights to inform communications strategy Educates team members on media concepts, application, and philosophy Measures performance proactively to continuously improve client results Takes initiative to learn departmental and agency systems and resources Team Player Manages internal relationships across departments effectively Effectively manages a team to ensure work is high quality and on time Develops positive working relationships with outside vendors Maintains a professional, solutions-oriented attitude at all times Demonstrates initiative and ability to lead projects Builds trust with supervisors and readiness for increased responsibility Communicates effectively, with timely and accurate responses Contributes to a positive departmental and agency culture Qualifications/Traits: Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field. Skills and Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years of media planning and program management experience; current title of media planner or higher preferred Digital media experience Solid background in traditional media planning/buying within an agency environment Experience managing multiple clients and cross-functional teams Exposure to planning all media channels, both national and local Experience with core planning tools and systems Strong quantitative and analytical skills Proven ability to translate strategic plans into flawless real-world execution Strong negotiation skills and experience with integrated multichannel media packages Demonstrated proficiency in digital media channels including display, mobile, and search Strong understanding of ad serving, behavioral targeting, media, and analyticsThe salary range for this position is listed below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to budget, relevant experience, qualifications, and tenure in similar roles. Consideration may also be given to internal salary data for current or former employees in the same or similar positions. Salary Range: $60,000 - 70,000 annually *Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
