Job DescriptionSUMMARY STATEMENT OF WORK PERFORMED: Sets up and operates compression presses to produce molded parts in compliance with established safety regulations and SOIs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job follow. Management may assign other duties and responsibilities as necessary.Sprays mold with lube as requiredOperates compression pressesAssembles and weighs preps according to molding specificationLoads prep into mold per molding specificationCloses mold and begins cure cycleUnloads cured partsVisually inspects parts for defects according to inspection standardTrims, inspects and packs as required in finishing specificationsRecords required information on reports MACHINERY, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS USED:Compression pressesMolds HoistSpray gunsAir hoseVarious hand tools (scissors, awls, wrenches, brass hand tools, knives) MATERIALS, PROCESS PARTS & FINISHED PRODUCTS USED:Rubber compoundsFabricLubeInsertsCured partsTapeCardboard cartonsBags EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma/GED preferred EXPERIENCE:NoneSPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to read and comprehend SOIs, safety regulations and inspection standardsAbility to run multiple presses with different processes PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required toContinuously walk, stand, hear (more than 6 hours/8 hour workday)Frequently talk; use hands and fingers to handle; reach with hands and arms (up to 6 hours/8 hour workday)Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
