Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data, providing age-appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators and apply appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
• Support department growth through hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practice development.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed and perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Ability to work night shift in an onsite setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience precepting or mentoring new nursing staff.
• Familiarity with Evidence Based Practice initiatives in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated continued professional growth through ongoing education and goal setting.
