Providing acute emergency care to critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced environment, the Emergency Department RN manages urgent health issues with efficiency and compassion. This role requires a dedicated nurse to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and safety. Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize patient needs upon arrival, performing comprehensive physical and emotional evaluations.
- Administer emergency treatments, medications, and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately using Meditech electronic health records system.
- Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and response to treatments closely, adjusting care as needed.
- Educate patients and families about condition management, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Valid IN or Compact RN license required, with at least 2+ years of emergency department experience.
- Previous travel RN experience and active excellent standing in compliance with Tier 2 travel standards.
- Proven ability to work 3x12 shifts from 7:00 to 19:00 in a high-pressure setting.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills essential.
- Must submit a reference from a direct supervisor within the last 12 months.
- Flexible schedule with a willingness to work at Marion and Gas City locations.
