Psychologist, Correctional Mental Health
Provide meaningful mental health care in a correctional setting, where your assessments and interventions make a real difference every day.
Location: Leavenworth, KS (On-site) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $165,000 to $175,000 per year, plus potential signing bonus
Must-Haves
- Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques
- Crisis intervention skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work fully on-site
What You'll Do
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and record review
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions
- Deliver crisis intervention for individuals in distress
- Conduct rounds in housing areas to evaluate adjustment and mental health needs
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health providers, and medical staff
- Consult with staff across departments on behavioral and mental health concerns
- Help build and run comprehensive psychological service programs
