Salesforce Release Engineer

Salesforce Release Engineer Our Global Salesforce team is looking for a Release Engineer with experience building, managing, and supporting release management processes for Salesforce platform. This role is a great opportunity to lead project releases across a broad range of elements such as Service cloud, Health cloud, Marketing cloud, communities etc. The Salesforce Release Engineer works with Salesforce development teams and is responsible for ensuring the stability of Salesforce platform, environments and releases. Release Engineer partners with developers to make sure they have a clear path and process for development, testing and deployments. They are expected to follow Salesforce best practices for implementing and managing release processes for configuration and code through all environments. Responsibilities: Take ownership and incrementally improve version control and environment management strategy Manage builds and releases across multiple environments and projects Own and continually improve the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation Prepare release notes and communicate release status to stakeholders and project teams Work closely with development team to resolve build problems and merge conflicts Administration of Copado tool for Salesforce releases Collaborate closely with the multiple technology and cross-functional groups within the organization. Occasional off-hours support might be needed Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Administration or equivalent 3+ years release engineering experience Expert level knowledge of Git Scripting skills, specifically around configuration, build and release functions on the Atlassian suite (e.g. JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc) Experience using Copado for managing Salesforce releases and environments Experience in the CRM domain understanding of overall SFDC platform and working knowledge of SFDC development, architecture, and release management Salesforce.com certification (Developer Certification, Advance Developer Certification) is a plus Excellent communications skills and extensive experience working with technical teams and management Experience with SFDX and CLI automation Experience with a scripting language such as Shell or Python Experience with Agile software development Desired Skills and Competencies: Self-sufficient, flexible, and motivated team player capable of managing several activities simultaneously Strong writing skills. Must have the ability to document process and technical knowledge in clear, easily understood documentation Positive, results driven, rational, logical, team player Required Skills: 1. Proficiency in Copado (or any related salesforce tool, Jenkins, AutoRABIT, Gitlab, etc) 2. Experience in large release and environment management 3. GIT & Bitbucket 4.
