Truck Driver CDL A Local Home Daily

Position Overview Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Amsterdam, NY – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Pay & Schedule Weekly pay of $1300 or more. Solo miles pay: $0.72 per mile. Sign‑on bonus: $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days. Paid training. Hours per week: 50 or more. Schedule: 5 days per week, off 2 days; must work at least one weekend day each week. Flexible start time between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. Benefits Medical, dental and vision coverage after 30 days. 80 hours paid time off in the first year (use it or get paid for it). Trailer type: 53' dry van. Freight: No touch, drop & hook – retail merchandise. Ryder will train you on all required equipment. Vehicle Information Trucks are 36 months or newer. 24/7 roadside maintenance and fuel because company drivers use over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state laws, regulations and agency rules, standards and guidelines. Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs. Load and unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum age 21 years. Pass a Ryder drug test. Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide an appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle (9 months experience within the past three years, or 2 years of experience within the last five years, or 5 years of experience within the last ten years). Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
